Wanted

it's a while before I'll be ready to do it, but I want to start researching now... so, I'm after recommendations for tattooists, in the Sydney area, particularly someone who is good at fine, detailed work, and who is willing/able to do custom designs... I figured if the people on my LJ friends list can't offer me suggestions then no-one can!

Oooh or Nathan... he did the Noli Me tangere at the top of neck... seen some of his drawings to, awesome detail work!

Pretty much anyone from Inner vision- they only work with the best- and decent prices for bloody fantastic work.

thank you darling, which of your artworks did they do?? You're a pretty good advertisment for whoever did your tatts...

[identity profile] fluffydescent.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
All art work/designs are mine. the only one i didn't desing was my very first tat on my ankle, that was an off the wall pick.

The guys at inner vision did the inking for the ones on my back- so my sword, inked by a guy called claudio, and the NMT was by nathan.

The guys at inner vision are wonderful they will discuss everything with you before hand- designs, placement, aftercare, and spend time with you to make you feel comfortable. they enjoy the art, and take care and pleasure in it- exactly what you want from tattooist!

Good luck chicky! HOw exciting!

I WNAT NEW INK NOW!!!! *whines*

funny i was talking about getting a tat this year- and Preston suggested her as well... says she'll be great for the first one!!!

Initially Craig told me about her wheni started looking for a tattooist. Then i saw a beautiful piece of artwork on one of our teachers. I asked him who the tattooist was, and it was maggot- so i had to have her!

Im not a huge colour fan, but what she can do with coloured inks and skin is just jaw dropping! colours that blend and colour variations that look as if they have been painted on- no missed areas, fine detail and no need for touch ups- that's how much of an 'artist' she is.

I know i'm gushing about her- but has got to be one of australias best. Seriously.

your excitement and gushing enthusiasm is infectious!! Okay, so I'll definitely go see Maggot :o)

The girl at inner vision did marvelous work on Huon. I would recommend them myself. Never had any fine detail done at my guy so don't know about him, although I can recommend him for big solid colours and wonderful smooth curving lines. Mischief Moon in darlinghurst.

Thanks very much... would it be possible to have a look at the detail work on Huon next time I see you guys? And did the guy at Mischief Moon do your back and paws? They're fabulous...

[identity profile] freeq.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Yup, Happy at Mischief Moon has done all my tats, he makes me very happy and comfortable. And of course you can have a look at Hueys work.

Mmmmm ink ... want ink ... neeeeeeeeeeeeeeed ink ...

[identity profile] razorsharpblade.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
I have the next one planned ... and it's going to have to be custom work ... which means I need more of the ol' hard earned *reminds self it has only been a week since talking with nice person who may be offering aforementioned better paid job*

Beware [livejournal.com profile] quiregrrl - it's addictive!

[identity profile] quiregrrl.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
oooh that's exciting, is it inappropriate for me to ask what you have planned?

And yes, I'm well aware of the addictive nature of ink... and the addictive nature of piercings... want more of them too... want want want...

[identity profile] razorsharpblade.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
A pair of ravens, Odin's ravens Huginn and Muninn (thought and memory), left upper arm, in flight and arranged so that the wings suggest the double helix ... if that description makes any sense. So it'll be kinda large and definitely will need to be custom designed.

[identity profile] quiregrrl.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
wow, that sounds spectacular!!

[identity profile] razorsharpblade.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Just gotta get me someone to draw it! :)

[identity profile] freeq.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
It's true! My first one was about the size of my palm. Now they cover my back from butt crack to neck, and are starting to take over my arms too!! Eeeeeeek!!
