I woke up with the cranky today, and had trouble shaking it all morning... then I had lunch with Zoo, and a walk back to the office in the torrential rain which made me rather damp in spite of my big brolly ... I love the rain, it always makes me happier :)

Plus, I had a story from one of the nurses about one of my favorite patients, we'll call her Mrs Mac, who rings me pretty much every day usually about nothing important (she's a bit forgetful, and a bit anxious) but is just so sweet that I don't mind... she was in the city yesterday doing some shopping, and hailed a cab outside DJ's to head home, and as she got into the taxi a young man (25ish according to Mrs Mac) in a suit came from across the road and got in the taxi on the other side, so she told him to get out, he said "I'm late for a meeting so you can fuck off and get another taxi", to which she replied "well I'm 92 and I think you should fuck off and think about your manners", and he started to say something else and the taxi driver turned around and said "you heard her, fuck off" ... and according to the nurse who relayed this tale Mrs Mac (who, I should add, is Very Proper in that frightfully-wealthy-eastern-suburbs-matron way) in the telling of this then covered her mouth with her hand and said "Oh Tess, I don't like to use that language, it's so uncouth, but I really felt it was necessary"...

Mrs Mac... you are AWESOME! Also, taxi driver, you are awesome!
