To top off my shitty day, just opened a letter from the real estate, and gosh, wouldn't you know it, it's already been six months since the last rent increase, so of course it's time for it to go up AGAIN!! This is the fourth increase now, every six months, on the dot.

Fuck this, I should just move to Christchurch. It's cheaper, prettier, flatter, and the weather is better. And I could conceivably possibly even one day BUY a place there... three bedroom home, easy cycling distance to the middle of the city, under $300,000. Totally Achievable. I probably couldn't get a dodgy one bedroom unit in fucking Penrith for that here.
