The Year So Far
Jan. 6th, 2009 03:49 pmDay One: Slept till 1pm, flobbed on the couch, dinner with Fluffy and her boy, boy went to work and we flobbed on Den couch watching Oz on DVD.
Day Two: Slept till 10am, went shopping with Fluffy, visited Rascally and her boy, entertaining demonstration of the Humbler, back to Den for more flobbing on the couch watching Oz with Fluffy and her boy. Left them to go out to dinner and do rude things, picked up Lisa and drove to Palm Beach. It was cold and windy and ever-so-lightly sprinkling/heavy mist when we got there so we spent about 3 minutes standing on the sand watching the waves crashing in then got back in the car and headed back. Stopped off for dinner on the way home. Was good, we used to drive up to Palm Beach about once every 6 weeks or so when we were living together a million years ago, always at night, just coz, and we were talking about it last week and decided to take a drive up memory lane. It was nice just hanging out with the two of us, no husband, no baby... just us two, talking like we haven't talked in so very long, laughing, being comfortable with silence, sharing secrets... it was really good.
Day Three: Slept till midday, did half-hearted housework mainly consisting of tidying, taking out rubbish, re-shuffling piles of stuff, and washing clothes. Flobbed on couch, read a lot.
Day Four: Yum Cha with the cool kids, then an adventure to Polymorph for piercing fun... watched one of the cool kids get metal in her booby and another cool kid get metal in her head. Made yearny whimpery sounds of happiness and desire. Decided I couldn't really afford more metal. Went for drink at the Courty in the best beer garden ever, then decided that I needed new metal in my head and there was still that bit of credit on the credit card so went back and got new metal in my head! HUZZAH!!!! Mmmmmm, 12ga needle through the conch, owwie wheeeeee *giggle* yum :) Extra happiness that B was working on Sunday, she did the pokin' of the aforementioned cool kids as well as my conch, extra happiness of having a professional piercing pervert getting job satisfaction :) She dug the chunks of me out of the barrel of the big spike that went through my ear... wee little chunks of flesh and shiny white hard cartilage on the back of her gloved hand :) It's the little things that make us perverts happy :) After that it was back to the delectable Kate's to assist her with Getting Things Done at home (my assigned task was to take up couch space so she wouldn't sit on it and do nothing, fortunately, I'm an expert at couch flobbing). A doll came to visit and flobbed for a bit which was lovely... but she had to go home... then the cute boi came home from work, and after some movie watching the three of us went to Happy Chef for late dinner.
Yeah... Sunday was a good day :)
Day 5: Back to work :( Alarm radio decided not to work, so was late getting here, to discover that at some point over the looong weekend someone had thrown a full bottle of wine through the window of our office. My coworkers started at 7:30 and 8:30, so by the time I got in at 9:15 they were just finishing with the cleanup of red wine and broken glass that had covered just about everything. Then we had maintenance spend over an hour breaking out what remained of the glass in the window and chiselling out the old putty. Very noisy, very messy, very annoying. Oh plus work was very busy. I got crabby. Last night was unbearably hot. Not a puff of wind to cool anything... ugh... however, Strongbow Viper (Cider with Vodka) is Made Of Win!! Best Boy gave me a four-pack to try before he went away and I finally cracked one last night. Yum. Love best boy :)
Day 6: Work again. Ameliorated with cake, I like cake :)
Overall... good start to the year :)
Interesting times ahead I think :)
