Jul. 13th, 2010 05:04 pmI would like to go here please...
"Here" is Hotel Kakslauten in Lapland, where they have lovely log cabins, the worlds largest smoke sauna, Santa's village, you can go on husky safaris, snowmobile safaris, reindeer safaris and ice-fishing trips as well as guided ski treks, Santa's resort (including Santa's own house) is just down the road and you can visit Santa and the elves and meet the reindeer any time of year... which is all lovely and sounds like lots of fun, but the reason I want to go is this:

"Glass igloo provides an one of a kind opportunity to admire the northern lights and millions of stars of the crystal clear Lapp sky in a comfortable room temperature. Built from a special thermal glass the temperature inside the igloo always stays a normal level. It also prevents the glass from not getting white frosted, hence keeping the view clear even when the temperature outside drops to under -30°C. Every igloo is equipped with a toilet and luxury beds."
I want to snuggle in a nice warm bed, in a glass igloo buried half in the snow, watching the Aurora Borealis dancing above me... that just seems like magic of the most beautiful and lovely kind :)
