If you're wondering what to do on Saturday, here's something!

Those of you already coming HURRAH can't wait to see your smiling faces in the audience... and it would be great to see even more smiling familiar faces... and you know, it's probably the only time you'll see men (and women) wearing bras and a smile as they sing of buttered scones and tea in a church!

Also, if you can get a group of 5 together and book ahead, mention you know me and you'll only pay for 4 tickets!!

A PACIFIC AFFAIR
A magical musical cruise around the Pacific region on Saturday 5th November, 2005

The Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir has just returned from a 2 concert tour in Auckland. They performed with the Auckland Gay and Lesbian Singers (GALS) to tumultuous acclaim and they would like to share with you the songs, which were so well received in New Zealand.

Come and enjoy the choir singing a broad variety of music from Australia, New Zealand, The Philippines, Japan, China, Russia, Canada, The Americas and, of course, the South Pacific.

There will be some old favourites and you’ll be introduced to some great new music and a couple of numbers that had our Auckland audience splitting their sides.

Joining SGLC for these performances will be the Honeybees Gospel Choir

There will be two performances on Saturday, 5th November, at 2.00pm and 7.30pm at the Uniting Church, 264 Pitt St , Sydney, near the Town Hall.

Tickets are available from the Sydney Philharmonia Box Office on 9251-3115 or at the door on the day.

Pre Sales $25 ($15 Concession)
Door Sales $30 ($20 Concession)
We have been informed that a threat has been made for a bomb to go off at Town Hall Station at 5.00pm today. NSW Police are aware of the threat, and whilst conducting searches, we understand police do not regard the threat as credible. However, should your travel arrangements involve passing through Town Hall Station, you should consider alternative routes.

This landed in my work email inbox about 10 minutes ago... as it was forwarded from a non-security, non-management person who got it from a friend in another organisation, I rang the police to see if they knew anything about a bomb threat, as soon as I said "Email forwarded in our organisation" she cut me off and said they received the threat this morning and have been investigating, they are patrolling the area, they consider the threat to be low-risk, however they suggest if it's possible to avoid the area then do so.

I'm never quite sure how to react to stuff like this.. part of me just wants to roll my eyes and say "oh for heavens sake, get a grip people!" but then a little voice nags "you're going to regret that if a bomb really does go off!" ... sigh ...
